2018 Dolcetto d´Alba Falletto, Bruno Giacosa
A young, pure, racy nose with notes of ripe blueberries, damson, violets and asphalt. A fine dark flowery scent. Very, very good.
The taste is taut and spicy with lots of ripe blueberries and additional notes of bakelite, dry tobacco and iron. Long and fine. 4+ years.

2018 Dogliani San Luigi Vigna la Costa
From the oldest part of San Luigi comes this beauty. It is more locked up compared to when I tasted it in August 2021 - Barolista: Five Fine Bottles From Chionetti. The nose is tight and focused with notes of iron, red currants, earth, tobacco and incense. Very, very deep and needs time to open up.
The taste is solid and concentrated with lots of red and black fruits, polished tannins and a long, long finish. Needs 6+ years, at least. Glad I have a stash of this.
