2017 Barolo Bricco San Pietro, Podere Ruggeri Corsini

2017 Barolo Bricco San Pietro, Podere Ruggeri Corsini
Right from the get go, the nose oozes up from the glass with notes of violets, dried roses, shoe polish and hard cherry candy. A very fine warmth.
The taste is dry and refined with notes of dry tobacco, violets, rosehips and cherry pips. A long, fine finish. Drinking great today and the coming 8+ years.

    1. A tad to warm to be a great vintage. Since its a plethora of great vintages lately - 2013, 2016, 2019 and 2021 (and I also prefer 2018 to 2017) - you could dismiss 2017. But - you got to have something to drink when you wait for the vintages above, and then 2017 has a place.
