2001 Château De La Rivière
2001 Château De La Rivière
From a magnum no less, popped and poured. Right of the bat, the nose is open and inviting with notes of red and black currants, fresh stables, dark bread and fried herbs. Some graphite aromas after a some time in the glass. Very good.
The taste is on the lean side of things with sweet red currants and additional notes of leather, herbs and cold coffee. Long with a fine, dry finish. A very fine luncheon claret.
