2012 Barolo Riserva Lazzarito, Ettore Germano
I tasted this gem
at the estate six months ago. Today the nose is a bit more restrained and red fruit driven, with fine notes of hard cherry candy, cement, Langhe earth and a hint of tar. Deep and very fine.
The taste is structured and racy with notes of rowan-berries, dried mushrooms, tobacco and sweet minerals. Very long, balanced and taut. Will need another 5+ years in the cellar. Great wine.
94p (tasted 2020/02)
