1996 Barolo Monvigliero, Fratelli Alessandria
A round, mature nose with notes of cherry jam, cranberries, bay leaves and licorice. With air more forest floor notes comes forward. Very, very good. Feels fully mature.
The taste is medium bodied and silky with notes of ripe lingonberries, red tea, licorice and incense. Dusty Langhe earth. Drinking perfectly now.
