More Rosé!

Another rosé wine tasted - and today was a perfect day for sipping some nice rosé wine while preparing dinner - warm with a nice breeze flowing through the house.

2011 Sancerre Les Baronnes Rosé, Henri Bourgeois
This Pinot Noir based rosé is a winner right out of the glass. A crisp, pure, fine nose with lovely notes of lingonberries, red currants, rosehips, dried herbs and a touch of licorice. Very salivating. Really nice.
The taste follow up the nose with a pure, fresh red fruit, a medium long finish and above all, a lovely crisp acidity that cleans the palate. Notes of red currants, almond paste , rosehips, dried strawberries and a fresh earthiness. Very, very good.
Funny enough it faired better out of a Bordeux glass than a Burgundy glass.
