Although there isn´t much of summer left - in fact it has rained for 24 hours straight, I opened this Italian rosé in the vain hope it would at least feel like summer. It didn´t. Ah well, have to open something more substansial later.
This was perhaps the last rose of summer...
2010 Scalabrone Rosato, Guado al Tasso
A cool, nice, light nose with notes of red currants, some artifical rasberries, dry licorice and tuscan gravel. Nice enough but that artficial note bothers me.
The taste is fresh, pure and light with some nice red currants, grassy notes and a cool acidity. The finish ends dry with a earthy twist. The taste is better than the nose. Good.

I can only agree with your notes. Not too personal and complex but with a prominent and nice acidity. A decent standard glass of rose!
