2012 Malbec, Catena

A tasting sample from Vinunic.

2012 Malbec, Catena
This high mountain vine Malbec has a young, big, creamy nose with notes of dark cherries, plums, sugared coffee, pine trees and raspberry liquorice. Upfront and very good.
The taste is young and ample with notes of red and black cherries, plums, liquorice, raw meat and dark chocolate. The tannins are finely integrated and offers up some resístance. A good length. Could evolve with a few years in the cellar. Very, very good.
