2003 Ihringer Winklerberg Mimus Spätburgunder, Weingut Dr Heger
A late Friday dinner with some cheese and Serrano ham. I needed something to go along and after a quick rummage through the bottles nearest to hand, this was popped and poured.

A warm. deep, spicy nose with notes of forest floor, dried strawberries, some bonfire scents in the background and a ever so slight touch of assorted farm animals. Very, very good. A fine warmth and maturity.
The taste is medium bodied with a fine dried up sweetness of raspberries and wild strawberries alongside notes of violets, sun warm rocks, dried spices and stale coca-cola notes. A fine dryness at the end, fine acidity. Drinking perfectly at 14 years of age.
