Third Day In The Mountains - 2012 Barolo Cannubi, Burlotto
Second day of cross country skiing and I discover muscles that I haven´t felt for a long time... Need some good Barolo to ease the soreness.
2012 Barolo Cannubi, Burlotto
A high, pure, intense nose with notes of ripe lingonberries, incense, mosquito repellent, paint and rain wet asphalt. Complex, refined and gorgeous. Lots of mushrooms with air. Just lovely.
The taste is low keyed intense and fresh with notes of dried wild strawberries, spices, lingonberries, mushrooms and a hint of white peppers at the end. Silky tannins and a long, long persistent finish. Great wine.
