1997 Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra, Domenico Clerico
A very deep, sweet, mature nose with notes of autumn leaves, veal stock, mucovado cooked strawberries and dark incense. Very, very fine.
The taste is silky and layered with spicy cherry fruit, pipe tobacco, tar and salmiak. A very fine backbone. Perfectly mature. Great wine.
