Miran arranged a nice evening with some of the Barolo Boys long standing friends - Silvia Altare, Chiara Boschis, Alex Sanchez and of course, the Pira family.
The Barolo Boys cooked dinner and brought wines, but our guest also brought some bottles. All in all, a fantastic evening.
2008 Brut, Henriot
A elegant, smoky nose with notes of dry fudge, oranges and freshly washed clothes. Very fine.
The taste is fresh and creamy with a very fine acidity and notes of lemon fudge, tangerines and smoke.

A very deep, steely nose with notes of ginger, grass and grapefruit. A very complex soapy note.
The taste is high and focused with notes of almonds, blood oranges and chrushed rocks. A laser like acidity.

A refined, somewhat restrained nose with notes of peach, tangerines and chives. Lovely.
The taste is maturing with elegant notes of dried yellow fruits, dry caramel and a very fine acidity.

2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard
A broad, layered nose with notes of lemon fudge, ripe flowers and passionfruit. A lovely sweetness to the fruit.
The taste is young, tight and concentrated with gorgeous fruit, a fine acidity and a long, luscious finish.

A deep, handsome nose with notes of dried oranges, matchbox and a hint of coconut. Very complex and fine.
The taste is racy and refined with some maturity, a cleansing acidity and a finish that goes on and on and on.

A round, mature nose with notes of dried herbs, damsons and autumn leaves. Very, very good.
The taste is silky and fine with notes of dried cherries, forest floor and mushrooms. Long and fine.

A deep, complex nose with notes of hard cherry candy, fir smoke and some balsamic notes. Very fine.

A high, intense nose with notes of balsamico cooked strawberries, rosehips and paint. Very fine.

An open, structured nose with notes of smoke, dried black cherries and Finnish licorice. Just stunning.
The taste is pure and expressive with brilliant fruit, sandy tannins and gorgeously balanced. Great wine.

A beautiful, layered nose with notes of sweet red cherries, red apple skin and sun warm rocks. Very charming.

A very deep, fat nose with notes of grilled lemons, coconut and dried pineapple. Very fine.
The taste is complex and intense with sweet/sour lemons, peach and sweet gravel. High and pure.
