Communication is sometimes hard. I had a booking (done per mail a couple of weeks ago), there were some discussion about that, but in the end I got to taste the wines of the cantina.
2023 Langhe Barbera
A warm, somewhat dusty nose with notes of assorted red berries, dry licorice and smoke.
The taste is seedy and fine with a good grip, sweet red fruit and a long, warm finish.
84p (tasted 2026/09)
2021 Langhe Nebbiolo
A nice, open nose with notes of candied cherries, forest floor and dried flowers.
The taste is tight and dry with notes of dried cherries, tobacco and rosehips. A medium long, dry finish.
86p (tasted 2026/09)
2021 Barolo Sottocastello di Novello
A deep, refined nose with notes of violets, paint, red cherries and a fine balsamic note. Very, very good.
The taste is focused and nicely structured with a fine cherry fruit, sturdy tannins and a long, dry finish. 6+ years.
88p (tasted 2026/09)
